Nothing. We used to collect phone numbers here for class texts, and we have stopped: the app sends notifications instead, so there is no signup form on this site any more.

In The App

The Grounded Studios app collects a little more, because it has an account:

• Your phone number. This is how you sign in. There's no password, so we text you a code to confirm the number is yours.
• Your name and email, if you add them. Both are optional and you can leave them blank or clear them at any time.
• Photos you choose to add. A profile picture, and any photo you attach to a passport stamp. We only ever see photos you pick yourself.
• Which classes you've attended. This is what your passport stamps are.
• A notification token for your device, if you turn notifications on. It lets us send a push to your phone and nothing else.
• Your signed waiver. If you sign our liability waiver, we keep what you filled in, the signature you drew, and the exact wording you agreed to on the day. You can read your own copy at any time.
• An emergency contact, if you give one on the waiver. We only ever look at it if something happens to you at a class.
• Whether you were checked in at a class, if an instructor scans your code at the door.

The app asks for your camera only to scan a check-in code at a class. Nothing from the camera is stored or sent anywhere: the code is read on your phone and thrown away.

The app does not collect your location. The map only shows where our classes are, never where you are.

How We Use It

To run the app and tell you about classes. That means signing you in, showing your bookings and stamps, and sending you a notification when a new pop-up drops, when a waitlist spot opens up, or when you've earned a stamp.

We don't use any of it for advertising, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Open the You tab and tap Delete my account.

This permanently erases your profile, your passport stamps, any photos you added, your waitlist spots, and your notification settings. It also removes your number from the old text list. It can't be undone.

One thing is kept: a liability waiver you signed, and the record that you attended a class. A signed waiver is a legal record of an agreement between you and us, and we have to be able to produce it if there is ever a question about an injury. Deleting your account does not delete it, and we would be misleading you if we said otherwise. It is never used for marketing, and you can ask us to explain exactly what we hold at any time.

We Don't Sell Your Data

We will never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for marketing purposes. Ever.

SMS Messaging

We no longer sign anyone up for marketing texts, and the form that used to do it has been taken off this site. The only text we send to a new number is the 6-digit code that signs you into the app, because there is no password.

If you gave us your number before we closed that list, it is still on it, and we may very occasionally text you about a class. Message and data rates may apply. To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message. To get help, reply HELP.

Third-Party Services

A few services help us run this, and each one only sees what it needs to:

• SimpleTexting sends our text messages, so your phone number passes through it. Their policy is at simpletexting.com/privacy-policy.
• Supabase stores our database and photos.
• Expo delivers push notifications to your device.
• Apple and Google carry those notifications the last step to your phone: Apple's push service on iPhone, Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android. Each receives a token identifying your device and the message being delivered.
• Google Maps draws the map on Android, so opening the Map tab there loads map data from Google. On iPhone the same screen uses Apple Maps. Neither is told where you are, because the app never asks for your location.
• Square handles class tickets. Payment happens entirely on Square's side, so we never see your card details.

We don't use any analytics, advertising, or tracking services in the app at all.

Children

Grounded Studios isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
